What is hypnotherapy?

I use solution focused therapy and the hypnotised state to bring about positive change.

Solution focused therapy focuses on where you want to be and what small practical steps you can take towards reaching your goals. This is the opposite of Freudian psycho-analysis. We don’t focus on the past, only on how you would like things to be different in the future.

The hypnotised state or trance is completely normal, in fact, it's an everyday occurrence. On average every single person goes into trance once every seven minutes. For example, we are in a trance when we daydream or when we drive home on automatic pilot and don’t remember the journey. In exactly the same way that you can snap out of a daydream, or slam on the brakes of the car if someone stepped out into the road, you can come out of a trance whenever you want to. You remain in control at all times.
